Pre-School (3-5 year olds)
Our preschool programs are based on enrollment and the ages of the children at the center. Some years, we offer separate programs for three and four-year-olds. At times, we may have a combined classroom. In both cases, we provide a balance of nurturing care as well as opportunities for growth in every area of development. Because each child develops at his/her own pace in each developmental area, we use assessment and planning to best meet your childs’ needs. Three and four-year-olds have very strong opinions, yet are beginning to develop a sense of the needs of others. They also have enormous imaginations, and are beginning to make more sense of the world around them.

Teacher-Parent Communication
Daily reciprocal communication between parents and caregivers is essential to providing the best care. Parent-teacher conferences are also held twice per year.
Individual Development
Our program is based on a child’s natural motivation for learning. We provide the structure, routines, and interactions that help guide their learning, building on emerging skills, ultimately preparing them for kindergarten and beyond.
Curriculum
To assist the teachers in planning we implement The Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum has 4 main objectives for preschool children: Social/Emotional- sense of self; responsibility for self and others: Cognitive-learning and problem solving; logical thinking: Physical- gross and fine motor skills: Language- listening and speaking; reading and writing. Also, our teachers are trained in the newly established Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. By aligning our curriculum with these standards we have the framework to implement a comprehensive written curriculum including a system for assessing children, planning activities, and charting progress.
